"Understanding how I feel"

I felt I had an amazing experience being cared for by the staff in Bunbury ED. I have repeated Gynaecological issues which are mostly managed but sometimes get worse and require a review.

I presented to the ED with increasing nausea and lower abdominal pain. In previous ED visits I've been dismissed due to my history but not at Bunbury. I felt the staff were incredibly supportive and patient, they didn't dismiss the pain I felt and I was able to get some nausea relief through antiemetics and hydration. The Dr on duty was particularly kind, gentle with her examination and followed up with me the next day to see how I was going and reassure me to come back if things got worse before I could see my regular gynaecologist.

I was surprised to leave feeling cared for and not ashamed of my women's health problems as I have felt previously when leaving other hospitals. I hope the staff I saw know how great they are.
