I was allocated a MGP4 midwife by chance for my first pregnancy and was so impressed with the model of care that I was sure to get referred back to the program for my 2nd pregnancy.

We were lucky enough to have the same midwife for both pregnancies and must commend Carissa’s professionalism and knowledge. Carissa has a wonderful calm and quietly confident aura about her which was always reassuring and we are so pleased we had her deliver both of our babies. Although she was just doing her job and looks after many women and families, she will always be remembered as a very special person to our family.

Congratulations on the birth of your new baby. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience with the Midwifery Group Practice 4 (MGP4) here at King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH).

One of the aims of the MGP program is for new parents to feel that they have built a lasting relationship with their midwife, and feel supported for the duration of their pregnancy, labour and birth. I am so pleased that you have experienced this with Carissa. We have found that the postnatal care from the MGP midwives is a valuable asset, making the transition to motherhood an enjoyable experience for you and baby.
