"My cancer journey"

About: Karratha Health Campus / Outpatients & Day Treatment

(as a service user),

I've been in chemotherapy for a few years now. Before, we needed to travel to Perth via plane for 2hrs every 21 days just to get my treatment done. All with my baby.

But last year they introduced chemotherapy here in Karratha. Now we don't need to fly to Perth. It was so very helpful and not stressful at all.

We have the nice, accommodating, lovely, loving doctor, nurse and staff here at the region. They make sure me feel alright every time, feel comfortable and they treat me as a family the way I feel at the Perth hospital before.

I feel we are just so lucky to have them.

For me, the way that staff and nurses treat me is creating good vibes and a good mood.

Dear waterdm85,

Thank you for your lovely feedback for our Chemo Unit doctors, nurses and staff members.

I am very pleased to hear you are able to attend our clinic at Karratha Health Campus to continue your treatment making it more accommodating for you and your family.

It is wonderful that you feel comfortable and like part of a family while receiving your care. I will pass on your appreciation to the team, it is very rewarding for them to receive such feedback.

Kind Regards,

Lisa Smith
