Ross, who is the Occupational Therapist |Clinical Lead (Acute) | Prince of Wales Hospital, was assigned to look after my dad post surgery at PWH recently.
In my opinion, Ross went beyond the call of duty, ensuring dad had all the right aids/tools available to him once he was discharged from hospital the same day.
Dad was out of the zone/area for him to borrow any of the hospital aids & tools and so Ross called several places within dads area to see if we could have all delivered once he got home.
After several hours & many calls to disability agencies nothing was available, the stars were not aligning for dad.
Ross took it upon himself to raise this concern with his senior management at the hospital asking to allow dad to borrow, and that Ross would ensure the aids would come back even if he drove to my dads house and collected it himself.
To add to that, Ross was at all times communicating with me what was happening, as you could imagine this was in the midst of the covid lockdown, no one could go into the hospital.
In my opinion, there are people that should be in these type of service roles and I believe Ross is 100% one of them. I feel Ross is dedicated to his work as well as his patients & their families. I hope I get to meet you Ross one day, to thank you in person, once the lockdown is over. Cheers to you.
