My sister has recently given birth and needs help with feeding baby and pain relief as all new mums do. Most of the staff are lovely and willing to help but I believe she is often left in pain or unable to feed baby due to a lack of support. I feel this appears to be due to a busy ward which I understand but if there are staffing issues, I believe this needs to be addressed. New mums already feel overwhelmed and anxious. In my opinion, the lack of support and assistance puts babies and mums at risk I believe, of emotional and physical harm.
