About: Kerang Hospital / Kerang Oncology Service

(as the patient),

I have been having my chemo in Kerang. The nurses are fantastic but in my opinion, they are run off their feet. On several occasions, one of the oncology nurses has had 4 patients on their own. I believe they don't ask for much, all they really want is a printer in the room so that they don't have to leave the patients alone.

I feel like this nurse has no choice but to leave the room to get printouts, I believe a lot of the printouts are for patients to take home. Just a simple printer would make the nurse's job easier I believe, and not leave chemo patients alone.

Thank you for your feedback. I agree that the team in oncology are fantastic. We endeavour to try to provide the best possible care for every person every time.

On occasions our unit can get busy, but I hope that you still felt well cared for and supported throughout your treatment?

You will be pleased to know that a printer had actually been ordered for our oncology unit prior to your post and should arrive shortly. Hopefully, this will ease our workload a little.
