Attending the Mackay day program for the 3 week period was the best decision I made for myself and my family. 

It gave me a sense of purpose and I felt very supported by the lovely ladies Terri-Lea and Olivia that ran the program. They both provided me with great information, tools and strategies to help cope with my anxiety, cravings and in figuring out my triggers. 

I would highly recommend the day program to anyone who is suffering any alcohol or substance abuse problems. In my experience, it’s a safe environment to talk about everything either in the whole group or just 1 on 1. 

I am looking forward to returning and participating in this program again for my second round.

Gaining a sense of purpose gives us a different perspective on every element of our lives. We can then receive the support, the information, tools and strategies offered by others as you have been able to do. Lastly, I want to acknowledge your own contribution to the changes you are making. Others can help and support but it is your own courage and perseverance in the decisions you make that leads to the changes you are experiencing.
