"Long Lost Brother"

About: Albany Health Campus / Mental Health Unit

(as a relative),

Last year we were contacted by the social worker Zoran, from the Albany hospital mental health ward who was looking for family members of our brother. A brother whom we believed was a missing person presumed dead. After 20 years of no contact, we were reunited. After the initial shock and week of tears trying to comprehend what had just happened, Zoran helped us to understand the condition, needs and diagnosis of our brother. Zoran went above and beyond to help our brother start the road to recovery and support us to be a part of his life again.

Dear thmc,

Thank you for contacting us via Care Opinion and sharing your story with us.

We are so delighted to hear you’ve been able to reunite with your brother and be a part of his mental health journey. You are right, it has been a truly amazing story which we hope will keep continuing on from here for you all.

Zoran is one of our most experienced social workers and we are very proud of the care, dedication and energy he puts into his work every day working with and for clients on our ward.

I will make sure he gets your feedback and comments. I know he will be really glad to read them.

Again, thank you for taking the time to share this valuable feedback. We really appreciate it.

Yours sincerely,

Matt Wells
