"My Visit to the Emergency Ward at Bunbury Hospital"

About: Bunbury Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Recently on a Sunday, I had the misfortune to cut off the top of my right thumb with a circular saw, consequently requiring minor surgery.

I just want to compliment the staff who assisted me throughout the process.

From the nurse in Triage who formed an assessment then provided a much more comfortable dressing to Dr Abdullah who convinced me to allow him to use a nerve blocker to anaesthetise my wound. I was initially reluctant as my previous experience with that process was the worst pain I had ever experienced, particularly as it continued throughout the whole procedure. Under Dr Abdullah's care, however, the whole process was completely painless.

Thank you so much, Dr Abdullah. I really appreciated the explanations you gave along the way. Your gentle treatment and genuine concern was much appreciated.

Dear alphatd83,

Thank you so much for taking the time to feed this back to us.

I have shown Dr Abdullah your feedback, and he is very glad that he could put your mind at ease and make your experience as painless as possible. Some of the qualities that we value most in our staff are caring and concern.

I do hope that your thumb is recovering well.

Regards, and thanks,

Steve
