My two children became Care at Home patients when diagnosed with Covid. We were automatically added to the program and contacted by staff which was fantastic in itself, as it was one less thing we had to navigate during a stressful time.
Throughout the following 20 days, we had daily Telehealth appointments with Dr’s or nurses. These were well organised and the staff that attended to us were always friendly and helpful. Additional support was provided where needed including Dr consults and the home delivery of medications. Halloween treats were even delivered to all the children quarantining with Covid which I felt was such a kind and thoughtful gesture.
I also required a tetanus injection during the quarantine period. The Dr and nurses organised me to receive this via the Emergency Department, with a staff member providing this to me in my car so isolation protocols were maintained. It worked so well and the support and flexibility of Emergency Department staff was also greatly appreciated.
Overall I just wanted to thank all the staff involved in our care. Care at Home was a brilliant service and we were so grateful for the care we received.
"Grateful for the Care at Home service"
