(as the patient),

The biopsy was on the day of the IT breakdown recently. The staff I encountered were very good. We were kept informed, I had my blood sugar taken every hour. Staff involved in my care were friendly and supportive. The admissions girl was fantastic, the day surgery holding area was great. The anaethetist (Vesna?) was lovely. The surgeon who saw me was friendly and approachable. 

I don't remember anything about the procedure. The recovery area was great and the ward waiting for pick up was great. I was very happy with how the day went. Bear in mind I was not looking forward to the day in anyway.  Thanks for making a stressful day quite pleasant

Thank you for your lovely compliments regarding our friendly and supportive staff involved with your prostate biopsy last week, and thank you for bearing with us during our IT “breakdown”, as you so aptly describe.

The care you describe is the standard I do expect of all of our staff, and is the reason I am so proud of them. I have passed on your compliments with my added gratitude.

That particular day was a challenge to us all, and feedback I have received is that staff knuckled down and worked through and around the IT issues with comradery and grace. It is reassuring that this was also your experience, from the perspective of a patient.

Thank you again for taking the time to provide us with such positive feedback – we do truly appreciate it.
