We were accepted into the Midwifery Group Practice program at KEMH for the birth of our first baby.
From day one, I found that the care was exceptional. I felt the midwives were extremely knowledgeable, organised, and always easy to contact. As I understand it, their model of care is minimal intervention which suited us down to the ground. We never once felt pressured to do anything we didn't want to do. They gave us all the information we wanted and we were free to make our own choices. We felt totally empowered and in control of our choices. Throughout the experience, the midwives did an amazing job of informing us of our options which ultimately allowed us to have the birth we'd hoped for - a natural birth with the support of our main midwife.
It was everything we could have hoped for and I truly cannot recommend their model of care more. We will definitely be applying to them for our next birth!
