My spouse had an aggressive skin cancer, but I believe the surgeon at the hospital took too long to see them. Our GP had to write two letters to get in to the surgeons. In the meantime, while we waited for an appointment it was growing. They ended up cutting it out, and now my spouse has to have radiation so we have to live away from our home for about 5 weeks.
I don’t want to say it is a complaint, but it’s not good enough. If they had got to my spouse earlier, and I get that they are busy, but they said to see our GP, and now my spouse has to go through 28 shots of radiation. If they had got to my spouse earlier I feel this wouldn’t have gotten this far. Now they have to do treatment to cover a 5cm margin. I’m quite annoyed about it and so is my spouse.
