"Physiotherapy"

About: St John of God Midland Hospital / Allied Health and Outpatient Department

(as the patient),

I recently had total hip surgery several months ago, followed by group physiotherapy.  I was placed under Miriam a very pleasant person, very good at explaining everything, showing you what to do & making sure you do it properly.  I think you should make sure you keep her she is wonderful.  I was lucky enough to have her 3 years ago for the same treatment.

This time Miriam was sent to another part of the hospital & another physiotherapist replaced her.  What a complete contrast. In my opinion, it was a waste of time driving to the hospital for a 5 or if lucky a 10-minute check-up.  I felt it was no check-up at all, no help. Please I believe it really was a waste of time being put under this other physiotherapist.

But whatever you do, I ask that you keep Miriam forever, she is excellent. 10 out of 10.

Update posted by wezengc47 (the patient)

Thank you for responding & yes that was good about my experience with Miriam.

Please follow up with my other concern about the physiotherapist who could not spend time with the patient. In my opinion, I would hate to be a new patient under them not knowing the ins & outs of what to do after hip surgery.
