We transferred to Bass Coast Maternity and I gave birth to a little girl. I would describe my overall experiences as caring, compassionate and really empowering. I didn't imagine I would come out from my final stage of labour feeling empowered, strong and in control but I was given so much support and guidance, it was really a wonderful experience.
All the staff involved in my care have been amazing- administration, midwives and drs.
I was really fortunate to meet so many of the team during my birth and stay and they made me feel a part of their little community.
My transition part of labour was my most difficult, but I was fortunate to have Maddy hold my hand for my epidural and talk me through the pain and then stay with me through to delivering my daughter along with Megan and Mel who are I found friendly, funny and amazing at what they do.
I am really grateful for my birthing experience and the team I had that day, Maddie, Megan and Mel and then Dr Rick.
It's such a hazy experience giving birth, but to remember the people who were actually there for what I believe is one of the most important parts of your life is a really special thing, I believe it means they really did their jobs right.
So a big thank you to Maddy, Mel, Megan, Maddie, Lauren, Sandra, Petar and all of the midwives and drs that got me from start to end and of course the lovely Vicki who I believe was just as excited about your newborn as you are if you're lucky enough to catch on her the phone and then meet her like we did.
Thank you Bass Coast Maternity, my and my husband’s experience with you was an incredibly positive one and one I will be forever grateful for.
"Forever grateful"
