"Overnight stay"

About: Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital / 2 West & Hand Clinic

(as the patient),

I had an overnight stay to remove a foreign object from my finger. I found Nurse DJ was super helpful and lightened the mood in our room.

In my opinion, gaining access to the building was disgraceful. I recall 1 person to check staff, visitors and patients in, I felt it was severely understaffed.

Dear Pinkie12345,

I am sorry to hear your experience at our front door screening. We always ensure adequate staffing to cover the front door screening process during peak periods for staff and visitors to access our facilities. We appreciate your feedback and understanding of the screening process which is essential to keep our staff and visitors safe during the pandemic.

Thank you for your compliment on our nursing staff member DJ and I will pass this on to his manager so that he could share this with the rest of his team in ward 2 west.

Have a safe and happy festive season.

Kind regards

Fonny Bergan

Acting Deputy Director of Nursing
