"Covid Test"

About: Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

We arrived at the Sydney I hospital Covid testing centre at opening on 10 am recently. We received the actual test p.m.

Coffee over five hour wait was clearly, in my opinion, unsatisfactory. I believe the poor management of the process by the staff on hand exacerbated the difficulty and stress of the patients.

Keeping people informed about progress estimated time and handing out suncream etc would surely, I think, have made everyone’s difficult day better. Staff did remain friendly and calm but I felt we’re not particularly helpful.

Dear doradoqt44,

Thank you for your time in providing us feedbacks about your COVID Clinic experience at Sydney Sydney Eye Hospital.

Our COVID Clinic similar to other COVID Clinics across the state has been experiencing inundated demands for the PCR testing and we are continuing to review our process to improve service delivery.

I am sorry to hear about the long wait time to get your testing done and staff will be reminded about the importance of communication during the service provision at this challenging time.

Kind Regards

Jon Magill

Director Of Nursing and Support Services
