"District nursing staff"

About: Community Nursing (Bass Coast Health) Gippsland Southern Health Service

(as a carer),

The district nurses have been excellent. They come every time they say they will, they care about dad. Sarah, the young nurse who noted dad's cloudy urine, was excellent and took photos for the file and to consult with colleagues. She then tested the urine and came back to us the next day, even though I didn't have an appointment to let me know what the dipstick showed. I attempted to contact Ebony in continence but was unable to get hold of her due to leave. I was able to get hold of Dianne (who was extremely caring and professional) in GSHS who let Ebony know what was going on and passed messages onto other medical professionals as needed within BCH. Our dealings with Ebony have been above expectations, dad is very comfortable with her and she explains everything and takes time for him. we really appreciate her ongoing help, assistance and professionalism.

Dear scoreboardwd94,

Thank you for sharing your lovely feedback about our community nursing team. I agree that they are excellent and compassionate and caring. It takes special people to do what they do. I know they will be really proud to get your post and they see it as a privilege to be able to support people with care in the community. Thank you so much for taking the time to recognise our team. It’s very much appreciated.

Kind regards, Jan.
