"Was well looked after"

About: Broome Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I was rushed to hospital on Christmas Eve with shortness of breath, throat swelling and chest pain after accidentally eating peanuts. I didn't have to wait and was receiving treatment straight away. Dr Carol and RN Sam went over and beyond to make me feel comfortable, staying bedside to make sure I was okay. Other RNs working that shift (sorry I can't remember your names, but I can remember your faces) came over to pop in to see if I was comfortable and if I needed anything. I just wanted to say thank you for all your help that night, and I hope you read this. Thankyou.

Hi scorecardtm89,

Thank you for taking the time to write to us about your visit to Broome hospital. I’m sure that's not how you wanted to spend your Christmas Eve – but I am happy to hear your experience was a positive one.

We are very proud of the patient care delivered in the Emergency Department - from Nurses, Doctors and Support Staff. I will be sure to share this Care Opinion post with our Emergency Department Team. I hope you are recovering well.

Kind regards,

Millie Stewart
