Had appointment for a set time. Was screened prior and told I will need a RAT test before being admitted. Turned up to hospital 15 minutes early to take RAT test via Emergency entrance as directed. Was not RAT tested and was sent straight through to outpatients department where I received my infusion.
I was then sent away from outpatients back to ED to take RAT test. Sat and waited for ages in ED. Eventually got my negative result and got to my appointment, over an hour late. This not only had affected my day, but I had a baby who was being minded while I attended so had to organise extra cover, but it put the nurses under even more stress due to their schedules being pushed back. It seemed I also was able to enter the hospital against COVID procedure. Didn't we just have 2 years to prepare for this?
