I have an ongoing lung disease which, in January this year became worse, I have a "rescue pack" at home consisting of Prednisone and an antibiotic, which I administered to myself. This didn't ease my condition, so I called an ambulance.
I was flown to a metropolitan hospital, where they found that I had had a 'small' heart attack and that I was having tachicardic and arhythmia episodes. I was given the appropriate medication, as well as nitrolingual spray for attacks of angina.
Later in February I was transferred to Northam Regional Hospital where they have, in my opinion, an excellent rehabilitation centre. I have just spent 3 weeks at this facility and am now going home. I cannot praise the staff at Northam enough. I believe they are angels.
In my experience, the physiotherapists are professional, friendly and thorough, They have rehabilitated me from being almost non ambulatory, gasping for oxygen to being able to go home and look after myself, with a little help. Something I thought would never happen. Accolades to the wonderful physiotherapists at Northam, I believe you are miracle workers xxxxxxxx
