About: Beaufort Nursing Home

Numerous incidents, it seemed mainly on night shift. The latest was that, as I understand it, my parent was put to bed without their buzzer, needed assistance, about 2 hours later a staff member comes in and finds my parent distressed!

I believe the place is understaffed and the staff I have interacted with are under-skilled with no compassion for the inmates.

When queried about this the next day, management apparently knew nothing about said incident. Seems like some covering up going on in my opinion. No problems on day shift though where it seems staff are more accountable.

Dear eaternb59,

Thank you for raising your concerns regarding the care that your parent is receiving within our facility. We are disappointed that you feel that our staff have not met the needs of your loved one and that we have not been addressing these concerns.

I would like to assure you that at all times our staff-to-patient ratios meet our legislative requirements. All of our staff are fully qualified for the roles that they are undertaking and we also provide regular education and training sessions.

Delivering compassionate and person-centred care is at the heart of what we do, and it is important to us to address your concerns as a matter of urgency.

That being said, I believe that this feedback has been received privately and as a result, we are organising a personal meeting to discuss these matters to determine what steps need to be taken to alleviate the concerns raised in the original feedback received directly. If you are the person who has submitted this feedback, I appreciate your willingness to engage with us so we can work together to address your concerns.
