I recently broke my ankle while at the Abrolhos. As traumatic as that was I can also say it was one of the most humbling experiences of my life.
Absolutely everyone involved from getting me off Pigeon Island to being comfortably back home has been nothing short of amazing! Thank you to the wonderful people of Pigeon Island and family and friends, and for flying me to Gero, the beautiful ambo who gave me pain relief, the exceptionally proficient staff at Geraldton Regional ED (who I only vaguely remember 😵💫😵💫), the doctors and nurses, orderlies, tea ladies/men, kitchen staff, theatre staff, pathology, xray, physios and OT’s and of course my amazing family. Not once did I get anything less than a smile and a ‘you’re welcome’.
All our front line workers are absolute angels, in my opinion, who deserve nothing but our utmost respect and gratitude in this crazy Covid world we live in at the moment. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. God Bless! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
