Have been to emergency (last resort, I had been to GP).
I have expensive private health insurance and sat waiting for overnight - over 12 hours for what I feel is basic care.
Had been back 4 times in a row with the same experience.
Got called in for operation then they cancelled it after 5hrs of waiting.
In my opinion, the industry is in absolute turmoil. Absolutely disgusted in what I believe is the treatment of everyone here (I think the nurses are trying but have minimal staff and funding)
When you do one day visit the hospital (we all will!) I really hope things improve, I think this is sad as Australia is such a rich and wealthy country.
