"Patient safety and privacy"

About: Logan Lodge

(as the patient),

Feel unsafe in own room. Wandering patient keeps coming into my room. I have to lock my door at night to keep them out. This patient frightens me. I feel it invades my privacy.

Dear equuleusgq59,

Thank you for writing this. I know staff are very careful to be checking on everyone's safety when there is a person wandering in Logan Lodge, and they do monitor each persons care very individually. I appreciate that this can be frightening, and also that it feels like the wandering person invades your privacy. I will discuss with some of the senior nurses in Logan Lodge to see if there are any additional strategies that they can put in place to help you feel safer immediately.

I do apologise in the 2 day delay in responding. If you or a family member would like to speak to me directly about this matter I can be contacted on 50339250, or ckeogh@shdh.org.au

Kind Regards

Chloe
