"My time in the hospital"

About: Myrtleford Hospital / Acute Care

(as the patient),

I liked the meals and staff. The night staff are a bit slow after buzzing for pain killers. One bad experience was a fall on my back, I needed to go to the toilet for twos and the dunny was full. I yelled for help, finally came with commode chair, and in a hurry to sit down, I fell off it. Hit my back and head on the floor. Luckily my broken bad hip wasn't damaged. I believe the staff were sorry, and learnt by helping me more. Besides that, I felt everything was good!

Dear deltakq48,

Thank you so much for the feedback to the care you received at Alpine Health Myrtleford. I am sorry that your experience in relation to the fall and delay in answering the call bell was not a positive one. Nursing staff may have been attending to other patients or urgent care at this time. I will pass on your feedback to the nursing staff. I am glad to hear there was no damage caused to your hip and that your stay with us overall was positive.

If you would like to discuss your stay further please contact Lisa Townsend – Nurse Unit Manager on 03 5751 9300.

Kind regards,

Lisa
