"Next surgery"

I was supposed to have surgery on my hip. After being dropped of in Albany, over 200kms away staying in a motel, on the morning of my operation the taxi had jut arrived and my phone rang. My surgery had been cancelled. I had wait for someone to come and pick me up. Then the hospital called to say the next surgery was around a month later, but as I understand it, another patient was sick and may take my place, it seemed to me they must know someone in the hospital. I would have thought I would be next in line but no. Recently, I believe the surgeon has gone on holidays so I cannot get it done until a couple of months' time.

I think the Albany Hospital has failed me as I am in constant pain but I don't complain. I feel I have been pushed to the side and I have no confidence in this hospital. Very bad, in my opinion, when I was going for major surgery.
