"COVID 19"

About: Prince of Wales Hospital / ASB 3S - Community Management Centre Sutherland Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

As a recent post cancer patient and having tested positive to COVID 19 I presented to Sutherland Hospital ED at the advice of my haematologist. Although it took a couple of hours to work through the processes and the numerous tests I found the Drs and nursing staff very thoughtful and caring.

I was also connected to Covid Care who assessed my progress twice daily via their app and phone calls.  Although I tired of these assessments when I wasn't feeling well I did appreciate their efficiency and attention to detail. Knowing they were only a phone call away if needed gave me confidence however for me it would have also been helpful to have had the opportunity to put down in writing extra information that could have be useful regarding my condition.

Thank you to everyone involved for making this service happen. Brilliant idea!

I understand it would have been an anxious time for you and I am pleased to hear that the doctors and nursing staff were thoughtful and caring in assisting you through the processes and tests.
