"My Thyroid"

About: Mandurah

(as the patient),

Around eight years ago I had a 'general' blood test and was told my TSH was not good even though I felt great at the time (I was in my late 60's) I was put on Eltroxine (levo.) and have not felt well since, (well once when I decided to stop taking this poison but had to go back on Levo as my TSH went up to 47).

I have now decided to try and obtain DTE but my Endoc. refuses to even talk about it and told me my 'readings' were good and I can do no more for you. The problem I have now is trying to find a G.P. where I live who is willing to give me a script for DTE. I truly am exhausted both mentally and physically and now have just added all over itch to the list. Why is this so difficult .In my opinion, the medical fraternity should be ashamed as this seems to be a big 'blind spot' for them.
