"Detoxing through Nana Muru"

All my life I had a partner who was an alcoholic so I saw how bad drinking can affect your life. I had told myself I would never get that bad- and I didn't, but I had to deal with family grief when I lost a number of close family members over a few years and had to shoulder family responsibilities on my own as my partner was always drunk or uninvolved in any family responsibilities. 

So as the years past I found I was misusing alcohol to help me cope with everything and dealing with chronic back pain as well, I started to drink more until I was drinking most days.

I found drinking was affecting my memory and I felt I wasn't the Mum I could have been.

So I decided to do something about it and was referred to Nana Muru by my GP for a home detox. 

Since detoxing I am feeling better in myself, although suffering from the chronic pain made worse when working makes evenings more difficult, as I used to drink after work to help with my pain.

I recommend anyone with substance issues to approach Nana Muru for assistance as I found they helped me when I didn't feel strong enough to do it  myself.
