"My visit to the ED & stay in hospital."

About: Geraldton Hospital / Emergency Department Geraldton Hospital / High Dependency/Intensive Care

(as the patient),

I was taken to hospital very ill. After I came out of the ED, for a while I had trouble remembering anything but the 1st thing that I remembered was the wonderful Dr who worked on me for 7hrs. His name was Ernie. If not for him I wouldn't be here. My kidneys were trying to shut down. Also, the wonderful nurse that looked after me in HDU. I wish that I could remember her name. I am extremely grateful to both of them. Also, the rest of the staff were fantastic in their care. Thank you everyone. I'm sorry it took so long for me to write this. I wasn't aware of a page to give my thanks. I really wish that I could have known the Dr's surname to thank him.

Dear guideks75

Thank you for sharing your story with us. I do hope you have now fully recovered.

I was so pleased to read of how well the hospital team supported you throughout your journey. Doctor Ernie has shown a total commitment to your care and wellbeing, that high standard of care has also been exemplified by the nurse in HDU.

Your feedback has been shared with the teams involved, I know they will be very happy to have their hard efforts acknowledged.

Thank you again for your kind words.

Regards

Marie Norris
