"Great communication"

My mother attended CGH ED from Wilson Lodge following a fall with suspected fracture. The actions and communication with us as family from Wilson Lodge staff and the GP was immediate and care provided was excellent.

Once in the ED the updates and communication from nursing and ED doctors continued. The staff monitored mum who is 90 and has dementia and frequently lashes out until they were able to arrange orthopaedic surgery and transfer to LRH. I can not understate how the regular updates helped to reduce anxiety of family members.

Thank you to all the staff involved in both Wilson Lodge and CGH ED department. Thank you for your quick actions in securing a bed and surgery at LRH that occurred very soon after arriving there. Looking forward to her returning back to Wilson Lodge ASAP to recuperate again. The orthopaedic doctors from LRH were great with contact with us prior to mum being transferred, on arrival, as part of the preparation for surgery and immediately following surgery to keep us updated. Amazing communication across all three services. Thank you all.
