"A gift"

About: Lives Lived Well - Logan House

(as the patient),

I stayed at Lives Lived Well at Chambers Flat recently. I went in very unwell and very lost. I had been letting people down in all elements of my life, most of all myself.

It took a week or two to really appreciate the program at LLW, but once I learned to clear my head through morning exercise, gym and meditation, I was able to fully engross myself in the process.

Via the group learning and my one on one time with Branka (my TF), I was able to make faster and clearer steps towards my recovery. The program is excellent and challenging, and the end results has been fantastic.

I would like to pass on my sincere gratitude to the entire team at LLW and in particular Branka, for investing their time and care into helping me realise I am worth it and most importantly, giving me the tools to move forward in my life with self love, gratitude and positivity.

This experience was overwhelming for me and I am without question a very different and more equipped person to who I was when I entered.

This experience and learning will not be taken for granted. It's a gift I am extremely grateful for.

Dear heronkn46,

Firstly thank you for spending time letting us know how your experience at Chambers Flats was. It is great to hear that you took the first step, and continued to grow and learn with the help of your worker, Branka.

Many clients suggest that making the first step is the hardest, and you have done that. We believe that 'with the right tools, people can change their lives' - and you should be proud of your achievement.

It is also encouraging that you persisted in your recovery and used meditation and exercise to help you get through the first couple of weeks. It often takes a little while to get used to a very new situation... including abstinence.

Congratulations and keep respecting you. There will be good days and not so good days - your journey is your own and I wish you all the best for a positive, productive future.

Remember Branka and all the staff at Lives Lived Well who can support you if you need extra support.

All the best.

Lara
