About: Goldfields Aged Care Resource Unit (ACRU) / Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT)

(as a carer),

Nadine from the ACAT team in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, WACHS Kalgoorlie Campus conducted the assessment for my mother. I have previously had nothing but bad experiences with ACAT, and was dreading the up and coming assessment, as my mum has mental health issues. Nadine took the time to really understand my mum's and as her carer, my needs. I felt her assessment was comprehensive and it was obvious to me she really understood. Nadine was both professional and empathetic - The Kalgoorlie ACAT team is lucky to have her based on my experience, and so are the seniors in the region....about time, please don't leave Nadine.

I have passed on your lovely feedback to Nadine who was delighted to receive your message of thanks. As Nadine’s Manager it makes me very proud to hear how she made you and your mother feel understood and supported while accessing our services.

Aged Care Services access and navigation can be challenging for families. Our WACHS Goldfields Aged Care Teams role is to assist families in identifying their needs and how best these needs can be met through assessment and then ongoing service provision. Our clients and carers individual needs and choices are so important for us to listen to, to ensure that we can achieve the best outcome for them.
