I am a retired nurse with over 30 yrs experience in general and psychiatric nursing, nursing education and administration. Over recent years I have had inpatient and visitor experiences in Emergency, Rehabilitation, Al Rigby and outpatient services.

Wonthaggi, as with all our health services, has been under pressure with Covid issues. Plus, the restructuring and renovations, although very welcome, must have caused many headaches for all.

In light of the foregoing, I should like to offer the administrative team my sincere congratulations and thanks. All staff I have seen have always demonstrated in various ways, that their focus is on their patient. The team spirit, high morale and kindness must, I believe, flow from the top. Congratulations!

Wow! This is such a lovely post. And it means so much to get these kind words from a retired healthcare worker who knows exactly what our patients should be receiving.

Thank you on behalf of the whole Bass Coast Health team who have worked so hard over the past few years. Our staff are, in my view, extraordinary! They have significantly expanded services, developed new services such as Cancer and Cardiology, built a new hospital, planned another new hospital at Phillip Island, renovated Kirrak and Armitage, and supported our community through COVID. It has been a pretty wild ride, all whilst wearing very restrictive PPE and doing all the things that everyone else has done like home schooling, and supporting our own families through COVID.

This health service is used by our own family members, neighbours and friends, so it is really important that everyone gets the sort of care we all want for our own. I am proud to know that your experience met our expectations, and I am extremely grateful that you took the time to acknowledge the teams' efforts. Thank you - I know your post will be very much appreciated by everyone!!
