I was using drugs and alcohol and just got to a point where I felt I had nothing and nothing useful to give anyone including my boys. So took a heap of pill after a very large amount of alcohol. My son found me and I ended in hospital. That's when I knew I needed help.
I didn't know who I was or even what I like or my strengths. LLW showed me how to stop and ground myself, to take in what's happening to me. To understand my thoughts as I had never paid attention to them before.
I now know how strong I've had to be to get through most of my life using drugs and alcohol and keeping it a secret from everyone, from family, children, bosses and the great society. All of this while living a normal life, working looking after my children and owning my own business. All while high.
LLW helped me to see I am worthy and a great person. It was a safe place for me to really be me in the first time in over 40 yrs. I would like to thank Ruth as her complete understanding, guidance and non judgement was what got me into the program.
"Seeing that I am worthy"
