About: Bright Hospital / Day Surgery

Colonoscopy at Bright mid-2022. Has to have been at my local hospital Mt Beauty but shifted to Bright 45 mins away. At Hospital at mid-morning. Staff Great. In limbo until early afternoon. Procedure conducted woke to abdominal pain + jabbing in abdomen can only assume I was coming out of anaesthetic as camera was removed. Pain was considerable but no after effects. 

Staff very helpful but never saw Anaesthetist or Surgeon after procedure. I was last on the list. Appreciative of being able to have the procedure in my home area. Used Alpine Health because it is close + Previous positive experiences.

Thank you castornt35 for taking the time to provide the feedback; and for travelling to Bright instead of your closest hospital, Mt Beauty. Sorry that you had pain on waking, this is very common with colonoscopies, though glad it settled down for you.

Thank you for your patience on the day, I feel the delays made it a long day for you and we do try to avoid delays as much as possible.

The anaesthetist and surgeon usually talk with you in recovery, however the medications used can cause some people to forget this conversation and that is why we supply the same information in writing.

We are glad that we can provide you with this service close to home and I will pass on your feedback to the day surgery team.
