My parent was admitted to the Boddington hospital as a palliative patient as we were struggling at home to take care of them Once my parent was admitted we found we were providing most of their care still, as the nurses were making us feel as though they did not want to provide care for them. I recall on one particular shift I overheard the nurses discussing my parent in poor form with one of the nurses saying we should just take them home. You can imagine this wasn’t pleasant to hear at such a vulnerable time as we lost our parent a few days later.
