"Great care"

About: Wonthaggi Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Hello Bass Coast Health,

I am a staff member in community but unfortunately I had to access the emergency department as my teenage daughter who had nasty a virus came out in a worrying rash. Anyway the staff were incredible; the doctor Micah was incredibly personable  and related so well to both my daughter and I. We both felt understood and confident in his knowledge. Also the person who checked us in, I wish I knew her name. She was amazing the way she checked on us and seemed to individually relate to each person in the waiting room. It was a very busy night but she made the effort to chat to each group and let them know what was happening. These staff have made me proud of the service that we offer to anyone who walk through the doors.

Thank you.

Dear hydraxr58,

People who work in healthcare are often the biggest critics because they know what should happen. I, like you, feel really proud that your experience with the ED team was positive, and exactly what everyone should expect. Thank you so much for taking the time to write your post - the staff involved will read this and also feel really proud, and in times like this when COVID is on the rise, and we are dealing with increased demand, stories like this keep everyone going. I hope your daughter is ok.

All the best, Jan
