"Food and buzzer"

About: Mount Beauty Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

After having day surgery in Albury, I was admitted to Mount Beauty. In my room the buzzer to call for assistance was not working. I alerted the staff however nothing was done till the next day approx 18 hours after I alerted the staff.

The time I was there the food was, in my opinion, inedable and disgusting and easily the worst food I feel I have ever experienced anywhere.

Hello phasegt35,

Thank you for taking time to write with your feedback.

We have recently upgraded all our nurse call systems and hope that this recent upgrade and final testings that have been completed will have removed any non functioning or faulty nurse call. Our new nurse call system has more advanced technology that does enable greater access to remote troubleshooting and addressing of issues.

I would be interested to learn more about the specifics of your food experience so that we can better address the concerns you have by emailing me directly on leanne.kilaptrick@alpinehealth.org.au. This way we can seek to explore which meals or food types were inedible and disgusting as you have described.

Alpine Health is always seeking to explore ways to improve the patient experience and as such we greatly appreciate you taking time to provide this feedback.

Regards

Leanne Kilpatrick
