Having some post menopausal bleeding and being assured I ticked no boxes I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer (stage 1). The next few weeks were a whirlwind of appointments. This ended at the Macquarie Ward at Royal Women's hospital Randwick. Finally everything slowed and settled.
The staff I saw here did an amazing job of settling nerves whilst I got ready. After my op there they were with smiling faces and reassuring words. Nothing was too much and they made me feel as if I was the only patient there that they needed to care for. Nothing was too much. Not being able to do anything myself a cup of tea and an egg sandwich appeared and words of thanks brushed away.
When obs were done apologies flowed because they had to wake me, always so caring. Even though they are busy little beavers time was found for conversation and settling of fears. There are too many to thank individually so I will say we would be lost without you ladies. You truly are the best and from me and my family thank you.
