Whilst on school holidays with us, my young-teen granddaughter damaged her little toe while doing her routine dance stretches and pirouettes on our shadecloth flooring. This warranted a trip to the local hospital at Augusta, in WA. Staff there, Esther and Carolyn, couldn’t have been nicer, especially Esther, knowing that an injury to a young-teen and a visit to hospital without Mum was indeed a traumatic experience. Esther’s compassion and care was truly appreciated. She explained everything clearly and kindly.
After the Doctor’s examination, we were referred for an X-ray at the hospital in the next town, that being Margaret River. We were again treated with respect and concern from Mary in the X-ray department, the triage staff and Jaye, the nurse practitioner.
Our thanks to everyone involved on the day. If the level of care we received is indicative of our country hospitals, then I feel we are in good hands.
