"Losing my cardiologist and my records"

About: Joondalup Health Campus Joondalup Specialist Medical Centre

(as the patient),

I was seeing a doctor at Joondalup Hospital since heart attack 2013. He left that practice without even sending me a letter. I have now decided to see another cardiologist, as I live rural and would prefer not to have to travel to Perth. So I rang Joondalup Hospital and they told me they had no records, so I rang where he had moved to Joondalup Specialist Centre, and they did not have them either. They told me to ring another place where he was moving to in 3 days, and they said they did not have them either. I am really annoyed that I have had to make all these long distance calls to Perth, to be told I have to find the records myself so that my new cardiologist can find out my history. Surely this is very bad practice.
