"End of Life Care"

About: Wantirna Health / Palliative Care Inpatient Unit

(as a relative),

Our family would like to share our deepest gratitude and compliments to the staff at Wantirna Health Palliative Care Unit - East Ward.

Our dear mum was recently taken into this unit with multiple organ failure. Almost immediately on arrival by ambulance, mum was given the very best of care and attention.

Within a short time she was lying down comfortably for the first time in weeks, and pain and agitation free. It was a comfort to us all that mum was in such kind, caring and professional hands.

A couple of days later mum quietly passed away. A short staff, thankfully, but a gentle, peaceful and quiet end of life.

Thank you so very much to all at East Ward, Wantirna Health from myself and all of my family.

We will always remember....

Dear KHB

Thank you so very much for taking the time to acknowledge the care staff in the Palliative Care ward (Wantirna East Ward) provided to your mother at what would have been an incredibly difficult period.

The staff in this ward do amazing work and as you have mentioned, provide the level of care and service our patients and families need as the end draws closer.

I will make sure the staff are provided with your comments and hope that you and your family are slowly coming to terms with life after the loss of your mother.

Please take care KHB and I wish you and your family the very best for the future.

Kind regards

David
