I find that the RBH mental health unit is really bad. The wait in PECC (psychiatric emergency care centre) is extremely long. Nobody talks to you. There are no magazines or anything to read or do while waiting. You are locked in the department. It felts like it is worse than jail. I felt like some nurses were rude or ignorant to me. I could not even get a cuppa or anything. I felt like they labelled me and I am stuck with this label forever. I feel whole system is so atrocious that it makes it hard to go there for help.
Seeing I am in this catchment area, I don't have a choice to be treated elsewhere. This hospital needs to show respect and treat people with respect. Makes me feel like scum.
