Suffering from racing heart & feeling quite unwell for several days I eventually visited Box Hill Emergency Department. I was seen very quickly, put into the short stay area & monitored for several hours. Bloods were taken & I was medicated until stable then sent home with advice to see my GP. I was very pleased to be seen so quickly, & happy with the attention. I saw my GP the next day for follow up, & given advice & referrals for further investigation. But following a bad night I returned to Box Hill the next morning as I felt very unwell. The attention I received by the staff, nurses & the most thorough female doctor was wonderful. The doctor listened to my story & examined me in a way that even my GP does not. This doctor is a credit to her profession, & a valuable asset to any hospital. She has renewed my confidence in the profession. So often I do not feel my health issues have been truly listened to, including GP visits, who are often keen to get me out in the least time. Many thanks to Dr Meredith, who was not dismissive of my fears & concerns.
