When I first arrived at Logan House I felt very anxious. This was my second time to Logan House; I had been before over a year ago for 4 months.
It took me a fair while to feel comfortable with people as I wasn't used to being around so many people, as I was mostly on my own drinking towards the end of my active addiction.
I found out that it was a 6-week program opposed to a 6-month program like it used to be when I was here last time. I wasn't really sure if that was long enough but I was happy to commit to 3 months.
The program was condensed, but I did find the groups to be helpful. The material that we covered made sense & I enjoyed the groups.
After a while in the program, my anxiety levels calmed down and I started to feel my old self return. I could participate in the groups more.
I'm happy that I came to Logan House because I don't think I could have built a solid foundation on my own.
