Recently I attended Rockingham Hospital Emergency Department for a middle ear infection I had acquired while diving overseas earlier in the month. I saw Dr Saschy, the doctor on duty there at the time. I felt that, given her conduct, I should forward my thoughts in the hope that it will somehow find its way back to her in the way of feedback.
While my wait was quite long in the ED, (you expect long delays at these places) I could not have been more impressed with the level of care, attention to detail & professionalism that was displayed by Dr Saschy. She arranged blood tests & CT scans immediately within the hospital & saw to it that I was kept updated during my wait with regards the results. Her notes were handed to me in duplicate & she saw to it that I was treated in the ward & fed since it was approaching dinner time. She gave me extensive contact details to follow up with specialists the following Monday, which I did, & packaged everything up neatly in an envelope with my CT scan CD. I felt so impressed with Dr Saschy's treatment of me, considering I was in a public ED & she did not know me as a personal patient of hers but treated me just like that. I want to convey my gratitude towards Dr Saschy & the supporting staff at Rockinham ED, who must be under immense pressure every shift, as would be the case in all EDs I imagine. But I want to thank her for making my experience so pleasant & personal. I do hope this feedback will reach her & she is aware of how grateful I felt.
