I attended Day Surgery at the hospital recently for an Open Umbilical Hernia Repair. Once again, my experience at your hospital was outstanding. I was part of the Queensland Health Lung Screen in 2010.  I was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2011, and had a lobe removed later that year. Since then I have had annual CT scans and lung function tests requiring many visits over the years. Without exception, my many visits have been positive, even enjoyable experiences. Everything goes smoothly and the efficiency of your procedures and staff is obvious. Recently at the Day Surgery was no exception. I arrived at 6am and was home for lunch at 1.30pm, once the staff were absolutely convinced that I was safe to go. Although I was provided with pain relief from the pharmacy I didn't require any at all. I don't want to name individuals as I believe that the whole staff I have seen at the Day Surgery, the reception, porters, nurses, theatre staff and doctors are all worthy of recognition for the sterling job that they do.
