"My stay in hospital after a total knee replacement."

About: Bunbury Hospital

(as the patient),

I was a patient at Bunbury Regional Hospital, the care given by the hospital nursing staff was excellent.  However I received very little physiotherapy to assist me with my recovery.

I was discharged and made it clear that I was not confident of how I could care for myself at home.

The hospital made no contact with me as to how I was recovering.  When I rang to confirm my appointment with a physio at the hospital, I was told that no appointment had been made.

I have since made appointments with a private physio to assist my progress.

I feel that I was let down very badly with my rehabilitation.

Dear TNR123

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback.

The nursing staff will be delighted with your positive feedback and I will make sure they receive this. The physiotherapy staff would like to apologise that you have had this experience. The issues you have raised are not our normal practices and we would appreciate the opportunity to look into your case further so that we can identify areas for improvement and look at anything that we can do to assist with your rehabilitation.

If you could make contact with our Senior Physiotherapist Kerry Cole on 9722 1380 that would be appreciated.

Thanks again for posting your feedback and I hope you are recovering well.
